People who cannot update their Nokia n97 to firmware v21.0.045 please post your comments here, provide your product code and whether  your phone is unbranded or not.

Nokia has stated that the new firmware (v21.0.045) will be available at 08:00 GMT for "standard non-customised versions of the software , with country (SIM-free) and operator versions following over the next few days and weeks." *This can take up to a month for the firmware to be approved by your Operator*

BUT if you still cannot update your n97 by the stated period of time please post your comments here. Also post here if your unbranded phone is incapable of updating

But we are still on the waiting list even if our N97 comes straight from NOKIA !!

0585162 UK Unbranded is not available for update.

I am speculating and guessing that the people that get the updates first is the phones that are sold by Nokia themselves  and then the unbranded phones

@Shqipe...Wrong...I got mine from NOKIA and is not branded and I'm still on the V12 since last year.

So, we don't any RED Carpet treatment here.....we get......go back to the end of the line treatment for paying in advance and for getting it direct from NOKIA.

SW/FW update is another kind of marketing bs allowing vendors (Nokia, M$... no matter) to release half-baked products. And making their customers to wait a miracle from next release instead of imediately returning buggy product. Google Maps with by turn navigation released - Nokia has responded with free maps. It doesn't work on your particular handset? Nokia doesn't care cuz u'r just a small piece of vegetable in their multi-$ salad. v20 - u'r waiting... v21 - waiting again... v32... v45... discontinued. Some of us will switch to Apple, Samsung, HTC or whatsever but most will give next promissing product (with another Skype, Kinetic scroll, Maps, iSync etc) a try. And again some will try to counterweight massive ads campaigns by their forum posts...

I changed my product code from  UK T-Mobile to 0585162: N97 UK CV B V2  in the past  so I could update to  V2 (i would have had to put up with non working phone had i waited)   

Says no update available today for 0585162 as of yet 

Has anyone got a UK product code to update to 2.1?    if so what code?

I need UK product code to update otherwise I beleive iPlayer app wont know your from uk and wont work. is this true?

UK generic handset updates are always days to weeks behind the rest of the world due to some deal struck between a UK operator (probably Vodafone) and Nokia.

I live in hope, but expect a long wait.

v21 is nothing...its buggy...dont even try to download....if nokia make a update pls make sure that wer happy... nothing diff on my phone... my scrolling is realy slow move up and down and got stuck in middle...wow v21 is suck

its 12.51 uk time ere and still no update but i'm not too fused as the longer i wait the more i find out about it sorry guys to make u sound like testers but at least i will know if its worth my while to update i'm just p***sed off that they have used GMT time which is London time when its not even out yet lol but Thanks Nokia for keepin to ur word and bring it out on the 1st
