Now, the new 6111. It worked quite well (and i was impressed of that) since hours ago but suddenly started to reboot without any good reason. Guess what?
Putting my sim-card in another phone (i.e. my good old 7210) i've been able to discover that the cause of those rebootings is an sms prompted by my phone provider (Vo****ne) saying someone called me when i wasn't unavailable.. and the strange thing is that whenever my 6111 tries to get this sms, reboots itself!!!
I have the latest firmware version, no strange things, brand new phone.. what the hell is this all about?

...but since that guy replaces your mobile, it means that he is not from hell… and if he didn’t came from hell, he has only 2 places left – the “earth” and the “heaven”… but “heaven’ would not be possible this time because according to Holy Book, there is no mobile in “heaven”…. And therefore, this guy must be from earth… ahh!! What the heck…
...anyway, your problem sound like a virus… since by definitions a software viruses are small software programs that are designed to spread from system to another and to interfere with system operation. A virus might corrupt or delete data on your system, use other programs to spread itself to other system, or even erase everything on your system or simply make command like rebooting your system from time to time…Viruses can be disguised as attachments such as simple text message…
..if this is the case, the only option is to clean it with anti-virus.. and protect your mobile in future…

I had this problem several years ago where a text message from a certain person (a friend) would always crash my phone.
Don't know how or why it happened but it was just one of those strange things!
My guess now is that there is something in that particular message that the phone doesn't like. A firmware update may cure this odd behaviour.

I'm not sure if the 6111 has this option, it is on newer S40 phones like the 6233 and 6300. Menu > Messaging > Message Settings > Text Messages > Character Support.

after much tests changing options, sim cards, batteries etc. i've came to a conclusion:
IT'S A FIRMWARE PROBLEM.
And i got also when this does happen. It happens when you have much saved messages (btw, i didn't discovered HOW MANY messages you have to store before this bug happens), but the solution (i really hope Nokia fixes this with a firmware upgrade, it should't be a hell to fix...) it's to delete all the received messages (try also deleting all sent messages if doesn't work for you).
Hope it helps, and hope NOKIA notices this...
