Or at least I hope it does. As always, this update might not be available for everyone. Best to check with the newest version of Nokia Updater yourself (a new version is out by the way).

It appears that assisted GPS (I.e. obtaining your position from your network providers positioning data) is now working correctly. I will be interested to see if this works for us folks in the UK as I have seen this work briefly on my own phone and then never work again, despite the operators not usually allowing end users access to this data. A-GPS will be very very cool indeed if it works for us!!

Ok... so far...

1. On the same picture and environment:-

Pre Update = 426kB
Post Update = 521kB and 472kB


2. Call log icon bug NOT fixed.

3. Contacts searching back to Apple-style format where it searches alphabets anywhere in the contact.

4. Camera up in 4 seconds.

5. The UI seems faster. Need others to confirm this.

NOTE. Updating sucks your battery dry and in the updater it now requires you to plug in the charger to continue with the update.

Stock form after update, memory used is 45MB. I did a hard reset after this to wipe out all the junk (Welcome, etc), memory used just under 7MB.

Will update more as I fool around with it more.

As far as I understand, it's not based on your location. Each phone has a number assigned (something like a point of origin) and the updates go off that.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

And bad news on the call log bug. How hard can that possibly be to fix?

Sadly there are now only 4 themes, there were 5 previously, the missing one was called 'default' and was a variation of the original blue/white theme.

Bring it back in the next firmware upgrade please, it was the only one I liked.


Alarms bug, where the multimedia key wouldn't work after a repeating alarm had gone off is now fixed.

I notice the better quality in the camera as well, also the problem with all presets but automatic set to highest sharpness has been fixed, they are all set to "normal" now.

And, you can zoom to 800% in the Gallery - EVEN ON A 5Mpix photo!!!

Does anyone know what product codes this is out for, I've got a N95 on T Mobile in the UK (Product code: 0546659) and I'm told the latest version is 11.0.026.

I'd like to get A-GPS working ...

Alternatively anyone know if/when T-mobile will push through a version?
