Are you using the Nokia Sensor application? Please share your experiences! Have you ever found any other users with the scan?

I recently met an old friend who had also downloaded Sensor - and there we were, in a pub, scanning for each other and checking out our profiles.

But I've never really found any other users on the street, though I've set my profile open for all.

Anybody have a story to tell?

Sore subject with N70 owners!!

There isn't a version on release yet compatible with N Series smart phones. I've tried using the 6680 version of Sensor but whilst I can setup a 'folio, I cannot scan for other Sensor users, the app just quits instantly without any error message.

I spoke to a guy who loved the application a month ago. Interesting thing was that he didn't know that it whistled when another sensor user was in range, as he was somewhat deaf. Don't suppose that was considered.

Maybe it should vibrate when someone is near? Would help if you were in a bar too, when the whistle is not audible.

i just got a n90 and was very dissapointed that it didnt vibrate. I assume it is to do with the camera on the phone, but it would have been nice if it was mentioned somewhere that it doesnt do it

Hi,

I've used it once. I did a scan outside a coffee bar to see if anyone had Sensor running. 1st annoying thing is that it finds anyone with bluetooth on so I found loads and it took 3 mins to give me it's search results. They all had no detail showing as they weren't running sensor. I then elected to view one of them. Sensor told me it was out of memory and that I should close other apps. I didn't have any open to close. I have a 6630 with 7mb of usable memory but you only get about 1.8mb RAM to use. Sensor then closed. I promptly then removed it from my phone as it wasn't going to be of any use if it can't do diddly squat!

Whee, looking forwards to testing this out. Will have to uninstall the 6680 version first and extract the folio .xml file to save me having to enter all my details again.

*EDIT* Err, Karim the link you have posted is for Lifeblog, which I've had from day one. I've just had a look at the Sensor site and it seems the N Series is still not yet supported. Looks like I'll have to be patient. Phooey.
